The Office of the National Economic and Social Development Board has lowered its gross domestic growth projection for 2011 to 1.5 per cent, from the previous projection of 3.5-4.0 per cent.

タイ国家経済社会開発局事務所（NESDB）は、2011年のタイの国内総生産の予測を、これまでの3.5から4.0%から、1.5%に下方修正しました。
NESDB secretary general Arkhom Termpittayapaisith said on Monday the
revision was the consequence of several economic zones being affected by
the devastating floods.
この下方修正は、いくつかの経済地域を壊滅的な洪水が襲った結果であると、NESDBのアーコム・テームピッタヤパイシット所長は21日、説明しています。
The GDP growth for the third quarter of the year was up 3.5 per cent from the same quarter last year on the back of the expansion of the export sector, the recovery of automobile industries affected by the massive earthquake and tsunami in Japan and the increase in investment of the private sector.
タイの今年第３四半期のGDPは、輸出部門が拡大し、日本の大地震と津波の影響から自動車産業が回復し、民間部門の投資が増加したことにって、前年同期比で3.5%を超える伸びとなりました。
However, Mr Arkhom said, the widespread flooding in so many provinces would severely hurt economic growth in the fourth quarter and this would trim overall GDP growth for this year.
しかし、アーコム氏は、タイ国内の多数の県に拡大した洪水によって、今年の第４四半期の経済成長は大きな打撃を受け、今年の国内総生産は失速しました。
He expected the 2012 economy to continue to grow between 4.5 to 5.5 per cent on the back of a huge government investment in projects to rebuild the country and to rehabilitate flood-hit businesses and communities.
